Still in the cleaning out mode of things and I have a couple of pieces of armour that I just do not use that much anymore and would make more sense for it go to someone that will put it to use then for it to sit around in my garage. Â So here it is. Â I am listing this over on the Armour Archive as an auction style listing up through Wednesday night on both the helmet and the gauntlets, start the helm at $25 and the demis at $10.
So up first is a pair of well made very heavy black leather demi-gauntlets. Â I use them very little as I go for full gauntlets when I am fighting and get rid of the basket hilt. Â These I got at a silent auction at an event a couple of years back. Â I believe they were made by Sir Kyppyn. Â My other dog got a hold of them a little bit once and you will see a couple of teeth marks and rough edge on the left one. Â Nothing left uncovered, just a slight bit of character.
Second up is a basinet with open faced houndskul type of visor. Â It was baby blue when I got it and the visor still has some traces of that. Â It is in good shape and was used at Pennsic a year ago and Gulf Wars this past spring. Â If the bid goes over $125 I will knock off the light film of rust and oil it up before shipping it out. Â My head is a 23″ and it is padded to fit me snuggly.
