Show on Spike that a friend was telling me about, the episode explained I thought was kind of bad from the get go. Basic premise, pick two famous warrior classes from history, gather information on weapons, armor, etc, and then run a computer model simulation to see who would have won in a contest of arms. I had my doubts when I heard about the show and now that I am finally watching an episode I am in even more doubt about the true measure of any outcome. The current episode I am watching is pitting the William Wallace era Scottish warrior against the Shaka Zulu warrior, and more specifically those two leaders pitted against one another.

Last Saturday I went up to Bowling Green, Ohio to participate largely in the capacity as a marshal for the SCA event known as Baron Wars. I have, in the past loved this event, though I have I think only been two times. In the past it was held and very large historical fort overlooking a bluff of the river. Times being what they way the site was made impractical so we moved to a large city park. The event was awesome on a number of fronts, but let me please inquire as to who is order the weather? Two weeks ago it was windy and getting hot, this past Saturday it was even more windy and darn near to cold.
The Midrealm kicked off the equestrian campaign season this past Saturday (25th of April 2009) with an event in North East modern-day Ohio. The event was held in the Barony of Brendoken. I believe that I can speak for all in saying that a good day of SCA equestrian activities was had by all.
Follow along on the addition of many pictures with ultimate intent of getting a photographical history of the lance, here on some pictures from another early event that we attended in pretty good numbers with Angel and SD in tow. I know several folks were present, but they did not show up in very many pictures. Also several good friends are in some of the pictures, including I am pretty sure both Que and Lora, not to mention the late Ouija, her famous mount. Again the date is circa 2000 or 2001, but I can not be sure.
