Gulf Wars XX – Prep
It occurred to me just the other day that it is finally time to start really letting my thoughts and actions turn toward Gulf Wars. This is the twentieth happening of the event, though I have only been attended since number ten. I am still pretty pumped about the event and looking forward to it. In face, I had planned on making this list of things that I need to do before the war a few months back, but then decided that it was just a bit to early to get going with it. Now it is definitely time though…
Maryland Jousting
Anyone else know that the state sport of Maryland is jousting? Do not get to excited yet. Let me explain a bit about it first and then you can make your own determination about whether to be excited or not. First, it is indeed the official state sport of the fine state of Maryland and has been for some number of years. However, if you are thinking knights of old clad in armor, horses, with flowing trappings, and lances striking the opponent – well to put it mildly you will be disappointed.
